We couldn't be more excited to announce the launch of Panorama, a one-of-a-kind celebration of music, art, and technology from media partner and co-presenter The Verge. For this inaugural festival, expect boundary-pushing artists, interactive tech installations from The Verge, and delicious eats curated by Eater. The Festival will take place from July 22nd - 24th at Randall's Island Park in New York City and is positioned to celebrate the city as a capital of entertainment and hub of innovative technology.
From the people behind Coachella and the New Orleans Jazz Fest, Panorama will feature headlining artists Arcade Fire, Kendrick Lamar, and LCD Soundsystem, and it'll also include sets from Alabama Shakes, Sia, and Run the Jewels.
As the official media partner and co-presenter, The Verge will document the exciting and complex relationship between music and technology by talking to the artists who are shaping the future of music — about their relationship with technology, their fans, and the media. In true Verge form, stories will be told with every tool, from photography and video to new platforms like VR, and on-site with a special interactive experience called Future Lab.
The food options at this celebration will be curated by Eater and renowned Eater critic and New York City food expert Robert Sietsema. Together, they will highlight the rich culinary offerings of all five boroughs on site at the festival.
Stay tuned for more on The Verge's and Eater's plans and, in the meantime, mark your calendars. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 4 and 12:00PM EST on Panorama's website.
