Vox Media Sweeps Up 12 National Magazine Award Nominations

New York Magazine is a top finalist with a total of nine nominations 

Today Vox Media’s brands were nominated for twelve National Magazine Awards from the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME). New York Magazine secured nine spanning the general excellence, design, feature design, feature photography, website, leisure interests, reporting, and profile writing categories. The Verge’s Casey Newton earned nominations in the reporting category for his reporting on the traumatic working conditions of Facebook content moderators in America. Vox was nominated in the website category, as well as in the feature design category for its project on Supertrees produced in partnership with the Pulitzer Center.

The nominations come at the end of a big year for Vox Media following its merger with New York Media last fall.

Award winners will be announced Thursday, March 12. The full slate of nominations for New York, Vox, and The Verge is listed below.
