Today, Vox Media announced that the podcast The Pitch, hosted by Josh Muccio, is joining the Vox Media Podcast Network. The Pitch will remain independently owned, with Vox Media taking on sales, marketing, and distribution for the show, and working with the team to explore new opportunities for growth and expansion. The show, which features a curated lineup of start-up founders pitching their businesses to real investors, will join a robust slate of business-minded podcasts at Vox Media, which include On with Kara Swisher, Pivot, Decoder with Nilay Patel, Land of the Giants, The Prof G Pod, The Vergecast, Recode Media, and more. It will release its first season with Vox Media in February 2023. A special preview episode will also be released later this month, giving listeners an inside look at the making of the show.

The Pitch joins Vox Media after recently spinning out from Spotify’s Gimlet Media as an independent company. The show was created by Muccio and his wife, Lisa, in 2015, who, after years running their own e-commerce company, decided to leave it all behind to launch a podcast bringing listeners inside the world of fundraising. With accolades in outlets including CNN, Forbes, Inc., Insider, and more, the show reaches an audience of hundreds of thousands of listeners including entrepreneurs and business leaders, and has made a name for itself for digging deeply into founders’ stories, and following up with featured start-ups even after they’ve secured funding.
