Vox Media editorial brands Eater, New York, and The Verge were today nominated for fifteen National Magazine Awards from the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME), recognizing work in written journalism, photography, design, illustration, and video. Eater, New York, and The Verge were each nominated for General Excellence in their respective categories, and it was New York’s eighth consecutive nomination in General Excellence. New York leads the nominations for the second consecutive year with ten, and Vox Media received the most nominations across titles alongside Condé Nast with 15 each.
Additionally, New York features writer Brock Colyar was awarded an ASME Next Award, honoring outstanding work by magazine journalists under 30, and New York and The Verge each won an ASME Award for Design, Photography & Illustration. Winners of the National Magazine Awards will be announced on March 28.
