Vox Media’s business podcast, The Pitch, today launched a new season – its first since joining the Vox Media Podcast Network last fall. This season, the show, which peels back the curtain on the investing process by featuring real entrepreneurs pitching real investors on their start-ups, heads to Chicago, spotlighting companies investing in the future, with 14 founders pitching business ideas tackling everything from the supply chain to electric vehicles to sustainable farming. Hosted by Josh Muccio, the new season will see investors commit over $900,000 to bring these ideas to life, with a panel that includes longtime favorites Jillian Manus (Structure Capital), Charles Hudson (Precursor Ventures), Elizabeth Yin (Hustle Fund), and Phil Nadel (Forefront Venture Partners), as well as newer voices Victor Gutwein (M25), Neal Sales-Griffin (Techstars Chicago), Mac Conwell (Rarebreed Ventures), and Mark Phillips (11 Tribes Ventures). The new season comes on the heels of the recently launched “The Pitch Fund,” which will see The Pitch co-invest alongside the investors on their show.
“I’m so excited for listeners to discover what we’ve been working on for years now,” says The Pitch’s host and co-founder Josh Muccio. “I’m convinced that season 9 will go down as our biggest season yet.”
“The Pitch amplifies the voices of entrepreneurs who are changing the world. With the launch of The Pitch Fund, we’re beyond excited to be investing in them too,” says Pitch co-founder Lisa Muccio.
The Pitch is where real entrepreneurs pitch real investors – for real money. The show takes listeners behind closed doors and into the world of startups: how people sell their ideas, what makes investors tick, and how these initial conversations can bloom into business deals—or die on the vine. The trailer for the new season of The Pitch is available here, with the first episode out today. Listen to the trailer and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts to receive new episodes every week. Additionally, video clips will be available each week at @ThePitchShow on Instagram, Tik Tok, or YouTube.
