Vox Media’s SB Nation Launches Two Paid Newsletters Ahead of NFL Kickoff

The Newsletters will Focus on the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs 

SB Nation, Vox Media’s sports network built by the fans and for the fans, announced the launch of two paid newsletters focused on two of its biggest communities - Pride of Detroit Direct for the Detroit Lions and Arrowhead Pride Premier for the Kansas City Chiefs. The newsletters will be the first premium offerings for two SB Nation team communities that reach an audience of millions.

Authored by Jeremy Reisman, head of Pride of Detroit, and Pete Sweeney, head of Arrowhead Pride, these newsletters will feature exclusive content, emotional and analytical coverage, and give fans an authoritative read into the team as they recap and preview the season’s games. Fans can follow along with Reisman as he reports from Ford Field to see if the Lions can win the division for the first time in 30 years. For the Chiefs, Sweeney will deliver exclusive insights from Arrowhead Stadium as the Chiefs attempt to be the first back-to-back Super Bowl champions since 2005.

Subscribers can sign up today with the first edition being sent out on Thursday, August 31. These newsletters are the first paid products from SB Nation and will be sent twice a week during the season and once a week during the offseason. The launch coincides with the NFL Kickoff Game, where the Lions and Chiefs go head to head, on September 7. The annual subscription price per newsletter is $50.
