With just under one month to go before millions of travelers hit the road to witness the historic total solar eclipse this April, Thrillist launched “Star Tripping,” its new editorial hub for all things eclipse travel, on Tuesday.
As part of its wall-to-wall coverage counting down to the April 8, 2024 eclipse, Thrillist is publishing a mix of “path of totality” destination guides, expert tips, and character-driven features with a new batch of stories going live every Tuesday morning through April 2, plus even more coverage on eclipse day, April 8. The hub, titled “Star Tripping,” will include everything from an eclipse glasses buying guide and a NASA scientist’s tips for eclipse viewing to an exploration of what happens when baseball games are interrupted by an eclipse.
Highlights from “Star Tripping” at launch include:
- Meet the Solar Eclipse Task Force, a.k.a. Astronomy’s Captain Planet, by Vanita Sailsbury
- The Parents Pulling Their Kids Out of School to Chase the Eclipse Together, by Serena Tara
- The Best Places to See the Total Solar Eclipse in Texas, by Kevin Gray
