Vox Media Announces Podcast Partnership with Breakout Hit Lemonade Stand, Hosted by Streamers and Creators Doug Wreden (DougDoug), Brandon Ewing (Atrioc), and Aiden McCaig

Wreden, Ewing, and McCaig will bring their breakout business and tech podcast, Lemonade Stand, to Vox Media.

Vox Media today announced a partnership with streamers and content creators Doug Wreden (DougDoug), Brandon Ewing (Atrioc), and Aiden McCaig to bring their business podcast, Lemonade Stand, to the Vox Media Podcast Network. Each week on the show, Wreden, Ewing, and McCaig bring their signature insight and irreverent senses of humor as they attempt to make sense of global business news, technology, AI, internet trends, and more. Since it launched six months ago, the show has been a breakout success, hitting top 10 overall on Spotify at launch. Vox Media will help grow Lemonade Stand’s business, assuming sales, marketing, and distribution duties, and introduce advertising onto the program for the first time.

“We launched Lemonade Stand with a goal of creating a fundamentally different kind of business show, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to watch this podcast grow from an idea into a full-fledged community in just six months,” says Ewing.

“I deeply believe in the value of communicating complex ideas in an approachable and entertaining way so I’m stoked to partner with a company like Vox Media that has had so much success and impact in the digital news space,” says Wreden.

“Whether it’s expanding our reach, bringing more guests on, or taking the show on the road, Lemonade Stand has a ton of potential, and I couldn’t be more excited to partner with a company with a real track record of success in podcasting, whose news and digital content I’ve consumed for years,” says McCaig.

Wreden is a Youtuber and Twitch streamer known for blending gaming and coding into some of the most inventive content on the internet. A former software engineer at EA and esports producer at ESL and Tempo Storm, Wreden launched his Twitch channel in 2019 and has since built a community of over 1 million followers, where he’s regularly ranked as one of the top 200 English streamers on the platform. His YouTube channels have garnered a following of over 4 million subscribers. Wreden’s interactive projects – from viewer-controlled games on Twitch to AI-driven experiments – have earned him industry recognition, including a Streamer Award win in 2022 and selection as a “Featured Creator” at TwitchCon in 2024.

Ewing is a content creator, YouTuber, and Twitch streamer, who blends his love of gaming with his marketing background. He hosts the YouTube show, Big A, where each day, he breaks down a major news story. Before going full-time as a content creator, Ewing worked at Twitch as one of the company’s early employees, helping launch shows like Twitch Weekly, and later at NVIDIA, where he led marketing campaigns in the gaming division and served as talent in corporate videos. Ewing launched his Twitch channel during the pandemic, where he quickly garnered an audience for his insight into business news and trends. He currently reaches over 1.5 million subscribers across platforms.

McCaig is a YouTuber, content creator, and co-host of the popular comedy podcast, The Yard, which has grown into one of the largest accounts on Patreon since it launched in 2021. He also serves as Chief Operating Officer of streamer and creator Ludwig Ahgren’s content creation business, Mogul Moves, where he oversees operations. With a background in esports, McCaig has held roles at companies including Beyond the Summit, Startgg, and EndGameTV (which he co-founded).

“Lemonade Stand is one of the biggest organic hits of the year, and it’s clear why: Doug, Brandon, and Aiden make business and tech news engaging and accessible for a younger audience hungry for it – in a format and tone that works for them,” says Vox Media’s VP for the podcast business Lillian Xu. “They are bringing everything they’ve learned from building audiences across Twitch and YouTube and taking a thoughtful and community-first approach that’s winning against the growing tendency to tune-out. We’re really excited to partner with them to grow their audience and business together.”

At Vox Media, Lemonade Stand will join one of the largest U.S. podcast publishers, and an industry-leading slate of business and technology programming including Pivot (hosted by journalist Kara Swisher and entrepreneur Scott Galloway), Waveform: the MKBHD Podcast (hosted by YouTuber Marques Brownlee), Decoder (hosted by The Verge’s editor-in-chief Nilay Patel), Solutions (hosted by Business Insider co-founder Henry Blodget), Channels (hosted by journalist Peter Kafka), ACCESS (hosted by journalist Alex Heath and brand strategist Ellis Hamburger) and more.
