Tennis Star Andy Roddick Strikes Podcast Partnership with Vox Media

Roddick will bring his flagship podcast, Served with Andy Roddick, to the Vox Media Podcast Network.

Vox Media and Served Media today announced that tennis star Andy Roddick will bring his podcast, Served with Andy Roddick, to the Vox Media Podcast Network via a strategic partnership. Hosted by Roddick, journalist L. Jon Wertheim, and producer and Served Media co-founder Mike Hayden, Served is a destination for tennis fans of all levels, offering wide-ranging conversations about all things tennis, including news updates, tournament debriefs and recaps, and interviews with players, coaches, and other figures across the tennis world and beyond. Vox Media will assume sales, marketing and distribution duties for the show, which publishes weekly on Tuesdays on podcast and video platforms, and partner with the Served team on expanding their live event business.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join the Vox Media team. Building Served has been an incredible journey,” says Roddick. “From day one, our goal has been to bring a fresh, in-depth perspective to the sport that has given me so much. Partnering with Vox Media and their talented team, both on the mic and behind the scenes, will allow us to reach an even wider audience.”

Andy Roddick, former World No. 1 and US Open champion, is a three-time Wimbledon finalist and a 2017 first-ballot inductee into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Known for his record-breaking serve, he led the U.S. Davis Cup team to victory in 2007 and competed in the Olympics twice. Beyond tennis, Roddick is a philanthropist and entrepreneur, founding the Andy Roddick Foundation, which has raised over $30 million to support underserved youth in Central Texas through nationally acclaimed programs. His accolades include the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award and the 2024 Serving Up Dreams Award at the US Open. As a co-founder of Sweetens Cove Spirits Company and founder of Roddimeyer NNN real estate, he has also invested in ventures like Tiff’s Treats and ViewFi Health. In 2024, he launched Served Media, home to his top-ranked podcast, Served with Andy Roddick, blending his passion for tennis and storytelling.

“Tennis has a global fandom of more than one billion people who watch the sport annually, and at Served, Andy is creating a space for fans who are looking for deeper insight into the sport and their favorite players,” says Vox Media’s executive director for the podcast business, Lillian Xu. “We’re thrilled to welcome Served to Vox Media, and look forward to partnering to build the show into the definitive home for conversations about the past, present and future of racket sports.”

Served is the latest addition to Vox Media’s portfolio of sports podcasts, which includes shows like A Touch More: The Podcast (hosted by world champion athletes Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe), Not Just Football (hosted by Pittsburgh Steelers team captain and NFL “Man of the Year” Cam Heyward), What an Experience (hosted by basketball star Lonzo Ball), and Small Ball (hosted by YouTube star and NBA superfan Kenny Beecham). The partnership comes during a period of expansion for the company’s top-10 podcast network, which this year announced deals with talent including Bird and Rapinoe, Heyward, Ball, and Beecham, as well as research professor Brené Brown, journalist Peter Kafka, finance expert Vivian Tu, and many more.
