“We are thrilled to partner with Facebook to help shape the future of journalism and entertainment by going deeper into the headlines that affect our lives right now,” said Marty Moe, President, Vox Media. “Vox Media is committed to high quality multiplatform storytelling and we’re excited to empower the Facebook community to participate in these crucial conversations shaping our nation.”

“I’m encouraged by the variety of formats that Vox Media is testing with ‘Consider It.’ I look forward to seeing how the show sparks conversation on Facebook,” said Shelley Venus, Video Lead, News Partnerships, Facebook.

Host Liz Plank and political consultant Shermichael Singleton come from different sides of the political aisle. But that doesn’t mean they can’t listen, respect, and learn from each other. Each 12-15 minute episode of “Consider It” will offer balanced commentary surrounding the news while challenging norms, and inviting prominent intellectuals, politicians and celebrities who are working to solve America’s most intractable political problems, on to the show as guests. The series will also activate the Facebook community, looking to empower new voices to breakthrough while cultivating provocative yet productive conversations.

“Consider It” is produced by Vox Media’s studio division Vox Entertainment, and is funded by Facebook for a new section in Watch dedicated to news. Liz Plank, Marty Moe and Chad Mumm are Executive Producers with Matteen Mokalla and Ashley Bearden as Co-Executive Producers.

New episodes are posted every Thursday at 10am EST on Facebook Watch.
