Vox Media’s Divided States of Women to Premiere Weekly Live Show on Twitter

Liz Plank, award-winning journalist, activist and producer will host

Vox Media’s Divided States of Women (@DSoWomen), will premiere a weekly live interview series on Twitter, hosted by millennial feminist, activist and Webby-Award winning producer Liz Plank (@feministabulous).

Each week, Divided States of Women will showcase influential guest experts and contributors, special event coverage, and breaking news about the issues women care about that are trending right now.

“We launched Divided States of Women with the important goal of shining a light on the voices that aren’t always heard, and delving into big political questions that every woman in America has an opinion about,” Plank said. “Expanding the Divided States of Women platform to include a weekly live show on Twitter means we can continue these important conversations by engaging directly with our Twitter audience to ensure their questions are answered and their voices are heard.”

In addition, Liz Plank will host a first-person vlog to discuss breaking news or respond to questions from the Twitter audience; curate a series of Twitter Moments, rounding up the best Tweets across the platform focusing on specific news events and issues; and create on-demand viral explainer videos addressing topics impacting women.

Plank is no stranger to viral videos. In December she Tweeted a mashup video she created using clips of President Trump’s speeches saying, “The president won’t apologize to women, so I did it for him.” The video quickly spread across Twitter and went on to win a Webby Award for best video remix/ mashup this year.
