Vox Media taps AJ Frucci to join as VP, Concert & Programmatic

Frucci ran a sales team at Vox Media from 2012-2017 and returns to the Revenue leadership team on April 8th

Today, Vox Media is excited to announce that AJ Frucci will join the team on April 8th, as the new Vice President of Concert & Programmatic, reporting into Chief Revenue Officer, Ryan Pauley.

Frucci was most recently at Axios as the VP of business development and has 12+ years of experience in high-growth media companies, Gawker and Vox Media, responsible for driving revenue and building partnerships. Additionally, AJ spent some time at Carat.

As VP, Concert & Programmatic at Vox Media, Frucci will continue to grow Concert, programmatic and display revenue for the company. Vox Media is well known for pushing the industry forward with its creative technology platforms, launching Concert over 2 years ago. It is the combination of creativity, data, scale, and premium context that has grown brand partnerships and led to revenue growth.

These growing lines of business were recently nominated for Best Video Distribution & Programming Strategy by Digiday and Most Innovative Publisher by AdExchanger. Vox Media was also named one of AdExchanger’s Top 10 Programmatic Publishers of 2018, while Concert took home the award for Most Innovative Publisher at the Digital Trading Awards.

“Vox Media has long been a leader and innovator in developing high quality, scalable, trustworthy solutions for brands,” said AJ. “I’m excited to rejoin the team to help further that mission.”

”AJ was an early leader in establishing Vox Media as a key partner for brands and marketers in the media industry,” said Ryan Pauley, Chief Revenue Officer for Vox Media. “He has the unique ability to drive business results for partners and we’re thrilled he will build on our success with the strongest suite of advertising solutions in the market.”

AJ joins this quarter along with two additional senior Revenue Team leaders: Renee Appelle, SVP of Global Partnerships, and Edwin Wong, SVP of Media Insights & Innovation.
