Vox Media is excited to announce four new hires, each of whom will play a pivotal role in shaping our company’s future. Jill Pike joins as the Vice President for Communications; Matt Kershaw enters as Vice President, Global Partnerships & Strategy; Peter Elkins-Williams will lead corporate development; and Donte Stewart heads up security.

Jill Pike, Vice President for Communications, will lead corporate communications for Vox Media and its lines of business, including Concert, Vox Creative, Chorus, and Vox Media Studios, which is home to Vox Media Podcast Network and Epic, and oversee publicity efforts and targeted outreach campaigns across the company’s editorial networks (Vox, Recode, The Verge, Eater, Curbed, SB Nation, and Polygon). She comes to Vox Media from the National Football League, where she served as Vice President for Public Affairs. Prior to that, Jill specialized in integrated communications campaigns for a variety of clients at the Glover Park Group, and served as the Deputy Director for Communications at the public policy think tank, Third Way.

Matt Kershaw, Vice President for Global Partnerships & Strategy, fills a brand new role on the Revenue leadership team. Matt will be responsible for creating account and category strategies, partnering on agency development, and ensuring that each of Vox Media’s market-facing opportunities addresses the top-of-mind needs of our partners. Matt brings 10+ years of industry experience across planning and activation, client strategy, and sales marketing, most recently serving as EVP of Investment Solutions Strategy at Publicis Media and SVP of Client Strategy at RUN. Prior to that, he spent time leading digital media teams across a variety of clients at Digitas and Wieden + Kennedy.

Donte Stewart, Senior Director of Security, is Vox Media’s first-ever full-time security leader and will oversee Vox Media’s security and anti-harassment efforts. Donte most recently spent nearly six years working in risk intelligence at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and prior to that, he served as an intelligence officer at the Central Intelligence Agency. Donte is responsible for building out and managing a comprehensive security plan to maintain a safe physical and online workplace for all Vox Media employees and contractors. Donte’s first priority is developing and deploying a robust internal security training for all employees and contractors to help mitigate active threats and online harassment, and employ safe practices in today’s digital media environment.

Peter Elkins-Williams, Senior Director of Corporate Development, joins Vox Media to spearhead corporate development work, building upon the company’s past corporate development successes, such as the acquisition of companies including Epic, the Coral Project, and Recode. Peter will also lead business development and platform partnerships across Vox Media’s editorial networks and lines of business. Peter brings more than 10 years of experience across the media, technology and finance industries, joining from Facebook, where he was a part of the Media Partnerships team and earlier in his career, led Corporate & Business Development for Atlantic Media, and received a JD/MBA from NYU.
