RECAP: Recode’s 2019 Code Conference in Scottsdale, AZ

Recode’s annual Code Conference took place at the Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona this week as Co-Executive Producers Kara Swisher and Peter Kafka hosted leaders from major companies like Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, and Netflix alongside political leaders like Stacey Abrams and celebrities like Natasha Lyonne and many more for iconic red chair hot seat interviews.

True to the Recode by Vox mission, this year’s Code convened leaders across tech, politics, policy and media to uncover and explain how our digital world is changing — and changing us. On-stage interviews by Recode’s Kara Swisher, Peter Kafka, Jason Del Rey, and Teddy Schleifer; Vox’s Ezra Klein; and The Verge’s Casey Newton took a deep dive into how we can fix big tech and ensure we get the future right.

Open-Sourced - a new partnership from Vox and Recode made possible by funding from The Omidyar Network

Open-Sourced is a multi-platform, explanatory journalism project, funded by the Omidyar Network, that illuminates the stakes of tech. It will launch in October with editorial content from Recode and Vox reporters, videos on Vox’s YouTube channel, and across Vox and Recode’s marquee podcasts.
