SB Nation Expands Leadership Team

The network welcomes Nyerr Parham, General Manager,  and Bryan Graham, Senior Director of Audience & Engagement

SB Nation is proud to welcome two new leaders to its executive team: Nyerr Parham, General Manager, and Bryan Graham, Senior Director of Audience & Engagement. Under SB Nation Senior Vice President Jermaine Spradley, Parham and Graham, along with John Ness, VP of Communities, and Keenya Scott, Associate Director of Operations, will lead Vox Media’s communities-centric sports network into its next chapter.

As SB Nation’s GM, Nyerr Parham will own the network’s business development and work closely with Vox Media’s revenue and marketing teams to develop strategic relationships and partnerships that support the growth of SB Nation’s communities. She’ll manage SB Nation’s Network Development team, as well as DraftKings Nation, the brand’s community dedicated to fantasy and sports betting content in partnership with DraftKings.

Bryan Graham will lead audience strategy to bring the best of SB Nation to readers, listeners, and fans — wherever they are. He’ll manage SB Nation’s growing programming team, with a focus on creative innovation in support of SB Nation’s network of communities and in the development of new communities.

Parham and Graham will work alongside John Ness, who’s worked at SB Nation for three years, and was named VP of Communities earlier this year. Ness oversees combat sports, Secret Base, Banner Society, almost 300 team communities, and SB Nation’s Podcast Network. Keenya Scott, as Associate Director of Operations, will manage all of SB Nation’s leadership team’s work-streams while also operationalizing its work with Vox Media’s leadership and centralized teams.

In stepping into his role as SVP, Jermaine Spradley’s ambitions were clear: “Now more than ever, it is imperative that SB Nation get back to the basics of supporting our fan communities. We’ll focus on providing them with new ways to engage with our content, and by building safer, more representative communities as it relates to race, gender, and identity.”

Nyerr Parham, General Manager

Parham was a pioneering member and senior leader of WarnerMedia / Bleacher Report’s House of Highlights team, where she worked with brand partners to develop integrated marketing campaigns and media solutions such as “House of Highlights LIVE” in partnership with Twitter and McDonald’s. Additionally, she led strategic initiatives to drive business growth and revenue diversification into new areas, including the brand’s expansion into live events, launching ecommerce, and launching the House of Highlights camp for youth sports.

“I am thrilled to drive SB Nation into the next phase of its growth,” she says. “With a strong foundation and massive audience, this brand and platform can blossom in dynamic new ways to serve its robust communities and the evolving needs of sports fans.”

She is a former Division 1 lacrosse athlete and graduate of Stanford University and New York University, where she earned her M.S. in Sports Business. Originally from Baltimore, Nyerr (@nyerr) now resides in Hoboken, New Jersey with her husband and son.

Bryan Graham, Senior Director of Audience & Engagement

Bryan Graham spent five years at Bleacher Report. He most recently served as a Creative Executive, leading the development of shows and podcasts including the B/Real series, which focused on remarkable young athletes and the professional athletes who admire them; the show won a 2020 Edward R. Murrow Award. Previously, at Bleacher Report, Graham oversaw social creative strategy and the brand’s only premium Black History Month content series “Are You Listening.”

“I’m excited to join the Vox Media and SB Nation families,” says Graham. “This is a team I’ve admired for quite some time and I can’t wait to work with some of the most creative minds in the business to build inclusive communities.”

Graham (@B3Graham) earned his M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business and his Bachelor’s from Morehouse College. Graham is from Randallstown, Maryland and is a lifelong fan of the Ravens and (unfortunately) the Orioles.
